Manufacturing Tech Australia

Team | Audio Editor and Web Designer | August 2024 - Current
I edit the audio and video of interviews with technology industry experts for the Manufacturing Tech Australia podcast using Podcastle, Descript, and Premiere Pro. I manage content and engagement on the YouTube account. I am currently redesigning the company website to improve the user experience and branding.

  • Brand Strategy: Analyzed audience engagement data to identify growth opportunities.

  • Content Design: Created branded business cards for major industry events, contributing to 60% spikes in listener engagement during key campaigns.

  • Information Architecture:
Redesigned the website’s content layout to make navigation more intuitive, improving discoverability of episodes and simplifying how users learn about the brand.

  • Visual Refinement: Introduced a structured grid system to reduce visual clutter and enhance readability.

As part of my role, I designed business cards for the hosts of the MTA podcast to distribute at events where they acted as official Media Partners, such as the Avalon Airshow in 2025.

I also created business cards to distribute at the Australia Manufacturing Week 2025.

I utilize AI features in Descript to streamline the podcast editing process, making production faster and more efficient. From automatic transcription to filler-word removal, these tools allow me to spend more time on shaping the narrative flow and polishing the audio experience. By leveraging AI as a collaborator, I can dedicate more time to creative storytelling while ensuring each episode is clear and engaging.

My goal was not to change the design language of the MTA brand, but to make their website design more cohesive and refined. To maintain brand consistency, I kept the current font and color scheme, as they effectively complement the podcast’s focus on engineering, manufacturing, and technology.

The current website lacks a clear organizational structure, making navigation feel cluttered and inconsistent. My focus was to refine the layout, improve readability, and ensure a smoother user experience while maintaining the brand’s established identity.

To achieve this, I improved the spacing between elements and introduced a more structured grid system. This makes it easier for users to learn about the brand and engage with content effortlessly. These subtle but impactful changes make the website feel more professional and user-friendly while staying true to MTA’s original branding.
